The way the eye sees an object is by detecting the light rays that bounce off that object. Some visual illusions result from the refraction, or bending, of that light as it passes from one substance to another. Visual illusions include color and brightness contrasts.
When a Bath hotel re-furbished one of there function rooms they desided to go for something different to the norm with this special effect silhouette lighting over the ceiling cornise work. This gives a more subtle light than a chandelier
